Thursday in Holly Springs went by too fast. We started the day with devotions at the Baptist Association building. After, half the group stayed there to finish painting and cleaning so its ready to turn back over to the owners. The other half of the group worked a few miles away at Beverly Chapel. When we got there, an Amish group from Pennsylvania was also there installing the floor. Our task was mostly underground in "the basement" where we installed many, many feet of plumbing. There actually was no real basement, just a crawl space of about 3 feet to wedge ourselves in. At the end of the night some of us took a country drive out to Chewalla Lake. It was a great evening filled with native calls of the local Chewbacca. Please keep us in prayer as we finish up our last day of work tomorrow.

It was another busy day down here in Mississippi. We tried to wrap up any outside projects before the rain came. For example, installing a vents for the crawl space, cleaning moss off the bricks on the building and steps. The painting frenzy also continued with the wrap-up of the kitchen and onto other rooms in the building. Adam continued working with another crew on a family's roof whose house was damaged in the tornado. Another crew also went out to Beverly Baptist Church for the afternoon to try their hands at plumbing. Thank you for your continued prayers!

Hey everybody. It was another beautiful day in Mississippi. The people here are incredibly nice and hospitable. Just got done with a meal on the house from a local cafe who just appreciated the help in town. We are getting to work on a variety of projects including painting, plumbing, electrical, roofing, sealing up crawl spaces, and cleaning. We are also getting to work with different people both from Holly Springs as well as people from Jackson and Pennsylvania. The devastation is great here but it is great to see God at work and to be used by God in a different part of our country. Thank you for your prayers from home.

Our work is underway at the Holly Springs / Marshal County Baptist Association Building. Many areas of the building are being restored. Todays work included painting rooms, repairing soffit and facia outside, leveling the floor in the kitchen, and scraping and repainting the soffit and fascia.
Here is the progress of the painting in the sanctuary.

After one flat tire and a couple stalls (that Tim & Bryan fixed with ISO-heat), the domestic missions team arrived safe and sound in Holly Springs, Mississippi! We get to meet with one local Reverend Saturday night to look at a building that needs minor repairs and paint. On Sunday morning we are joining Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. On Sunday afternoon we will join another local Reverend of Beverly Chapel to see how we can help his church rebuilding project following the Dec 23rd tornado damage (see pic above).
